CANTUCCI IS LOCATED IN THE HEART OF BRASÍLIA. THE BISTRO USES A VARIETY OF LANTERNS TO DECORATE THE OUTSIDE PATIO, MAKING IT A WARM AND COMFORTABLE PLACE TO ENJOY EVERYTHING FROM A SIMPLE ESPRESSO TO A FULL MEDITERRANEAN DINNER WITH WINE.
The problem was, their logo (below) looked outdated and out of place in such a warm and cozy place.
While working at Norte - Comunicação e Imagem, I was in charge of creating a new logo.
The lanterns from the outside patio were used as inspirations. I decided to design a custom typography with a modern feel and a touch of influence from mediterranean regions. A geometric base was used for each letter and then traced with rough outlines, using two different shades of orange for each.
The custom type ended up using only ridiculously long and narrow uppercase letters.
The lantern followed a grid so it'd match the display font.
Here's the final logo, colour applications and all stationary and branding items for the bistro.
Thank you so much!
Hope you enjoyed my design process and I’d love to do a similar project for you.
