MR. BROWNIE IS A LOCAL BROWNIE DISTRIBUTOR. AFTER YEARS ON THE TOP OF THEIR MARKET AND EXPANDING TO SEVERAL OTHER STATES, THEY DECIDED TO OPEN UP A STOREFRONT SELLING A WIDE RANGE OF DESSERTS LIKE CAKES, PIES, ICE CREAM, MILKSHAKES, CUPCAKES AND EVEN EASTER EGGS. ALL BASED OFF OF THEIR ORIGINAL BROWNIE.
Although their logo (below) was already recognizable and consolidated in the market, I felt it would benefit more from an redesign rather than a completely new logo.
There are a few things that could be improved on. The stars alignment, the gradient, the typography and the overall position of all the elements. So let's get to work.
I started by creating a circle with a 10x diameter.
Each blue ring has a width of 1,5x and the middle white ring has a width of 3x.
To create the inner red half-circles i simply divided the inner ring by 5.
Each half circle then ended up with 0,6x.
For the name, i chose the typeface CUBANO, designed by C. Van De Water.
To align the stars perfectly I saw how many could fit in each blue circle and simply divided by 360.
And here is the before and after.
You can tell it was a very subtle but very needed redesign of the clients logo.

Hope you've enjoyed my design process I'd love to do a similar project for you.
